TRUE LIFE COUNSELING

Our highly trained counseling staff provides biblically-based, Christ-centered and client-focused services to individuals, couples and families.  Areas of experience include but are not limited to:

marital and family conflicts and communication

6-week pre-marital counseling program

addictions recovery counseling

stress disorders

trauma and abuse

mental and emotional problems

spiritual abuse

discovering a deeper walk with Jesus Christ

Sessions may be scheduled once or twice a week, up to a maximum of five consecutive days, three hours per day.  TLC frequently has requests for a counselor to travel to other states to minister to individuals and families.  In the event that this is arranged, the client is responsible for travel expenses, room and board and counseling fees.

GRIEF COUNSELING

The staff of True Life Counseling is deeply concerned for those who are experiencing intense grief due to abuse, other trauma or the death of someone close to them.  It is our goal to provide a safe and compassionate environment where individuals can express and understand grief and be affirmed in who they are and what they are feeling. 

RETREATS AND SEMINARS

The highly qualified and experienced staff of True Life Counseling is available to your church or organization to speak at retreats, workshops or seminars for women, men and youth on the topic of your choice.  The staff is well versed in the Word of God and is eager to encourage people through the challenging, and often painful experiences of life.  Participants will be served a delightful and informative banquet of practical application of God’s principles and promises. It is our hope to make a difference in each person’s ability to experience the real presence of Jesus Christ in all they are and in all they do.

{Renewing & Refreshing Course}

The goal of this 6 week course is to equip individuals with the knowledge to comprehend and experience their position and identity in Jesus Christ.  Classes will be held one night a week.  Check the Retreats & Seminars page for fees and dates.

Week 1:  Who? What? Were? When? Why?

               God’s covenant with Humanity.

Week 2:  What does true love look like?

                God’s covenant with me.

Week 3:  Did someone just call my name?

               Leaving the past in the past.

Week 4:  Will the real God please stand up?

               Challenging your personal view of God.

Week 5:  Who am I, really?

               Understanding your true identity in Jesus Christ.

Week 6:  Where do I go from here?

               Practical application of Covenant living.

R ‘n’ R SATURDAY RETREAT

The Refreshing and Renewing Saturday Retreat is the dynamic opportunity for those seeking a deeper walk with the Lord.  The goal of this Saturday retreat is to provide a safe environment where individuals can personally experience, on a deeper level, the liberating, indwelling, healing, freeing and empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in every day life. FOUNDATIONS FOR FAITHFUL LIVING

COURSE OBJECTIVES, DURATION & FEES

· Create a safe, confidential environment where individuals will feel secure when sharing their personal stories and issues;

· Define and analyze past & present circumstantial, situational and relational stimuli in order to reveal any root causes that may have precipitated addictive behavior;

· Present practical life-skills & relationship tools such as, but not limited to: communication and conflict resolution; understanding personalities and how they interact; techniques to control addictive behaviors that equip individual to make wise choices regarding how they will respond in difficult situations in the future; and

· Encourage development of a solid spiritual foundation which will provide a powerful resource for lasting change.

· Course Duration: 18 weeks

· Fees: $1050 - $150 Deposit payable in full by the second week.

· Course is ASAP recommended.

COURSE OBJECTIVES, DURATION & FEES

· Create a safe, confidential group environment where individuals will feel secure when sharing their personal stories and issues;

· Define and analyze past & present circumstantial, situational and relational stimuli that precipitate & fuel inappropriate anger-related behavior;

· Present practical life-skills & relationship tools that will equip the individual to make wise choices regarding how they will respond to difficult situations & people in the future, and

· Encourage development of a solid spiritual foundation which will provide a powerful resource for lasting change.

· Choices Goal: To offer awareness, instruction and effective tools to overcome anger issues that have led to destructive behaviors causing dysfunctional relationships, including domestic violence.

· Course Duration: Track 1: Anger Issues: 14 weeks; Track 2: Domestic Violence Issues: 16 weeks.

· Course Fees: Track 1: $775; Track 2: $875; A deposit of $150 is required for both tracks and must be paid in full by the second week of class.
